Homeopathy

I have been working as a health care practitioner for many years. It is my passion to help people feel better. More recently, I chose to focus my work on Homeopathic Medicine. Each one of us is a unique individual and, as such, we manifest our symptoms in different combinations that is particular and exclusive to each one of us. Our goal is to help and support people to feel better in their bodies, minds and spirit through a holistic care that encompasses the totality of the individual.

If you are wondering why...

... did Rae decided to work in Homeopathy, coming from a successful pediatric cardiology practice for 20+ years?

Here is the story: Back in the 80's, I was going to Med School in Brazil, and at that time, Homeopathy was being regulated within the official framework and schedule of benefits with the insurance companies in Brazil. So, as part of my training in Med School, I had a lot of exposure to classes and internships in Homeopathic Philosophy, History, Principles and Therapeutics. When I finished Med School and opted for Residency, I opted to study Pediatrics with the plan to continuing studying Homeopathy as much as possible. Now, the time was right and I opted to dedicate myself full time to the study of this area of Medicine, also helped by the fact that Homeopathy has been now a regulated health care profession (since the Homeopathy Act, included in the RHPA) in the province of Ontario for several years. Currently, more insurance coverage plans are accepting to include Homeopathy in their extended health benefits, which is wonderful.

So, in short, it has been a long time project of mine to study Homeopathy and eventually use it, safely, to help people feel better. As I heard many times people say, it is kind of a part of following your dreams.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that focuses on a gentle, holistic and individualized care.

Homeopathy can help in both acute and chronic conditions. It can be used for different age groups - from pre-natal care to end-of-life care, and for different life situations - from sports injuries to chronic debilitating auto-immune and degenerative diseases, just to name a few.

In homeopathy we use the totality of symptoms of the person as in our understanding, we are not separate parts. Healing is a journey where the physical and mental aspects of our being are engaged and present.
